Sofie Topi (Sofia) is a freelance editor, designer, media storyteller, and a film critic. Her work ranges from writing and editing to performances and video installations. In her practice, she is absorbed by research as art, writing as design, and audiovisual analysis as reasoning. She explores sociopolitical landscapes from a personal level, with the aim to communicate interpersonal complexities. She adopts editorial independence, she collects, and exercises, and composes, and orchestrates; and so she prefers to address her work as a performative reportage of understanding contemporary politics and (her) view of the world.

Sofia is currently writing for The People’s Moves and High on Films, and serves as editor for nonfiction at The Brussels Review.

Sofia studied Architecture at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (GR, 2017), Design Curation and Writing at the Design Academy Eindhoven (NL, 2021), and Storytelling for Social Change at MichiganX (2022).
